Vera Farmiga, Anna Kendrick Up in the Air

Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick, who had a small part in Twilight, will star opposite of George Clooney in Up in the Air, a comedy about a bored human resources administrator who embarks on a mission to achieve one million frequent flyer miles. He subsequently finds his life falling apart since he's constantly "flying the friendly skies."

Farmiga, who starred with frequent Clooney collaborator Matt Damon in The Departed, will play a businesswoman who enters into an affair with Clooney's frequent flyer via meetings at airports, hotels, and other travel destinations. Kendrick won an extremely coveted part and will play a young woman who is a "career transition counselor," which is fancy verbage for someone who fires people for a living.

The film begins shooting in St. Louis, Miami and Las Vegas in late February.
