Lil Wayne, Coldplay Get Much Grammy Love
The Recording Academy held a primetime concert special on CBS last night. Co-hosted by Taylor Swift and LL Cool J at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, the event featured performances from Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, John Mayer, BB King and the Foo Fighters, as well as the nomination announcements for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards. Lil Wayne led the list with eight nods, including best rap album (Tha Carter III) and best rap song ("Lollipop"). Coldplay came in a close second with seven nominations, and Kanye West, Jay-Z and Ne-Yo scooped up six.
