Mindy McCready Survives Apparent Suicide Attempt

Mindy McCready's brother, Timothy McCready, found her "very intoxicated" and in the midst of a apparent suicide attempt Wednesday morning. McCready had slit her wrists and taken several pills. The country singer is now in stable condition at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

McCready has had a rough year. She was released from a Tennessee jail in October after serving half of a 60-day sentence for violating probation on a 2004 drug charge. According to an Inside Edition interview last month, McCready also broke off her longtime relationship with Roger Clemens (the 33 year old met him when she was just 16) because the pitcher wouldn't marry her.

"Carrying on a relationship with him is not something I'm proud of," she explained, alluding to their decade together. "Roger Clemens is one of the most wonderful men I've ever known… He treated me like a princess."
