    Comedic drama keeps changing stars

Ben Stiller Replacing Mark Ruffalo in Greenburg

Ben Stiller is set to replace Mark Ruffalo as the leading man in Greenburg, a comedy-drama that is being written and directed by Noah Baumbach of The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou fame.

Amy Adams was attached to star in the film with Ruffalo, but she, too, appears to have fallen out of negotiations for now. No replacement has been named for Adams' potential role. Details about the film are hazy, but it's said that the project will study the intimacies of relationships, which is common fodder for Baumbach films. The film is currently being shopped to studio specialty divisions for potential financing and distribution.

In other Ruffalo-related news, the actor's brother, Scott, passed away after sustaining a fatal gunshot wound to the head earlier this month. Police are still investigating the matter and have ruled that it was a homicide. Two people who were wanted for questioning surrendered to the authorities for questioning but were eventually released. Police have not named any other suspects, leads, or motives they are pursuing.
