Hilary Swank is a Resident

Hilary Swank is keeping busy, stacking her plate with more roles and developing projects through her production shingle. The two-time Academy Award winner has recently agreed to star as the title character in The Resident, a thriller from Hammer Films. The project will begin filming in May on the East Coast.

Swank will play a doctor who moves into a Brooklyn loft only to become increasingly suspicious of her surroundings and fear she is not alone. Her landlord eventually turns out to her character's stalker. Finnish director Antti J. Jokinen will direct the film, which will be his feature directorial debut. He co-wrote the script with Robert Orr. Swank will also executive produce the film.
