    Barenaked Ladies Celebrate 20th Anniversary

While they don't plan on returning to the studio as a group until next summer, Barenaked Ladies have announced some of their 2009 plans. Among them is a boxed set and late spring tour tied in with their 20th anniversary, the former of which will feature demos, live cuts, unreleased songs and more.

"(It has) all kinds of crazy materials... tons and tons of songs and videos and snippets and live stuff," drummer Tyler Stewart told Billboard.com. "It's a bit of a pat on the back, like, 'Hey, you've done a lot.' But it's also, 'OK, now what else can we do? How can we move forward from here?'"

Moving forward has been rough lately, what with the cocaine possession arrest of Steven Page in July and the float plane crash that Ed Robertson recently survived.

"Adversity, if it doesn't kill you it makes you strong, I guess," Stewart explained. "We've rallied through adversity before. In some ways I'm looking forward to getting together and making some great music based on all these intense and emotional experiences. That's when we feel the most alive, the most energetic."
