Brandy Gets Sued

A man injured in a 2006 car accident with Brandy has filed a lawsuit against the R&B star, claiming that she is partially responsible for his personal injury and negligence claims.

Donald Lite says Brandy and deceased driven Awatef Aboudihaj were speeding and following one another too closely on December 30, 2006, resulting in a chain reaction accident involving four cars. "As a direct and proximate result of the negligence, carelessness and recklessness," Lite's court documents read, "the plaintiff suffered serious and permanent injuries all of which have caused, and continue to cause pain, suffering and nervousness."

Los Angeles prosecutors decided not to pursue any criminal charges against Brandy last year, but Lite is convinced he can change that in a civil court case. No trial date has been set yet.
