MTV Tapes New Year's Show With Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has signed on as the host of FNMTV Presents: A Miley-Sized Surprise … New Year's Eve 2009. The MTV special will air from 8 to 9:30 p.m. ET on New Year's Eve, with performances from Cyrus, Metro Station, The Academy Is…, Kevin Rudolf, and All Time Low. The special will replay at 10:30, as the station's live Time Square countdown take over, the Veronicas assume hosting duties, and Cyrus plays a special set in the bedroom of a fan.

According to an MTV staff report, "Miley will also dropping [sic] some serious gifts and treats on the unsuspecting fan all through the evening, during which Metro Station will also set up in their bedroom, while the other artists will perform from MTV's Times Square studio."
