Maria Bello Links Up With HBO
Actress Maria Bello has signed a pact to develop and star in a new crime drama for HBO. The as-yet untitled series will be an hour-long show that will be created and written by The Shield's Gary Lennon. Bello will star as a woman who embarks on a life of crime after the untimely death of her husband. In order to support her three teenaged sons, Bello's character will lead them down a troubled path, as she recruits her boys to be her henchmen.Bello, last seen in the summer epic The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, will executive produce the series alongside Lennon. Bellow's last small screen role was on ER, where she spent two seasons in the 1990s.
