Charges Against Nikki Blonsky in Airport Assault Case Dropped

All charges against Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky and America's Next Top Model contestant Bianca Golden, stemming from an airport altercation between their families, have been dropped.

Blonsky and Golden were involved in a highly publicized scrum at an airport last July. However, Blonsky's father, Carl, is still facing assault charges that have been levied against him for his part in the scuffle between the families. Mr. Blonsky is accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm.

The families faced off at the Providenciales International Airport in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Both sides admitted to an argument that eventually escalated into a physical altercation and violence in the terminal. Blonsky's camp contends that the Goldens became enraged over passengers saving seats in the waiting area and a fight soon erupted. Nikki and Carl were both arrested, as was Bianca, whose mother had to be airlifted to a Florida hospital with a head injury after the scuffle.
