For the first time in her career, Madonna has extended a tour for a second year. Her Sticky & Sweet trek will return to the road in Europe this summer, with dates running from a July 4 stop in London through an August 20 gig in Ljubljana. While 16 shows have been confirmed thus far, another week will be confirmed soon. Producer/DJ Paul Oakenfold will open the entire itinerary.
"I'm excited to be going back on the road," Madonna said in a statement, "visiting places I've never been and returning to places I love."
Among the cities Madonna's never hit before are Hamburg, Oslo, Helsinki, and Marseille. According to Arthur Fogel, the CEO of Global Touring/Artist Nation, "[There's] no chance for a North American extension of the tour."
