    Oasis, Kings of Leon Among NME Award Winners

    The NME held its annual Shockwaves Awards in London last night, dishing out nods to Kings of Leon (best album for Only the Night), Pete Doherty (best solo artist), MGMT (best new band; best track for “Time To Pretend”), The Killers (best international band) and Oasis (best British band).

    NME editor Conor McNicholas had this to say about the Gallagher brothers: "Oasis have proved yet again, with a triumphant seventh album, that our love affair with them simply has no sign of ending."

    One love affair that was cut short on Wednesday night was anyone's affinity for the Jonas Brothers, as the trio earned worst band and worst album (A Little Bit Longer).
