John Cusack and Rob Corddry will star in Hot Tub Time Machine, a forthcoming comedy for MGM. Clark Duke is also in final negotiations to take a role in the film.
Steve Pink, who wrote other Cusack films including High Fidelity and
Grosse Pointe Blank, will direct the film, which starts shooting in Vancouver on April 20. Cusack will produce the film via New Crime, his production company.
The film is a comedy that focuses on a group of friends who revisit their teenage stomping grounds at a ski lodge where they used to party. They get into a hot tub, which, unbeknownst to them, is also a time machine. They are subsequently transported back to 1987.
