The Shins have finally broken their relative silence by revealing a 12-city tour that starts on May 2 in Bellingham, WA, and wraps up in New York on May 18. As for whether we'll be hearing new music from the quartet anytime soon, nothing's been confirmed beyond the fact that the Shins will release their next record on Aural Apothecary, the label of frontman James Mercer. That's if they end the "writing hiatus" that was reported on Pitchfork.com today.
