    MSG Hosts Pete Seeger Tribute

Madison Square Garden held a benefit concert for Pete Seeger's 90th birthday on Sunday night, featuring special performances from Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews, John Mellencamp, Ani DiFranco and more.

"He's gonna look a lot like your granddad that wears flannel shirts and funny hats," Springsteen said as he introduced Seeger. "He gonna look like your granddad if your granddad can kick your ass. At 90, he remains a stealth dagger through the heart of our country's illusions about itself."

While the show featured many one-time collaborations, the evening's most versatile sideman may have been Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, who played with Springsteen ("The Ghost of Tom Joad"), Tom Paxton ("John Henry") and Taj Mahal ("Waist Deep in the Big Muddy").
