Second Round of Rolling Stones Reissues Due Out Next Month

Universal Music Group has set June 9 as the release date of such Rolling Stones reissues as Some Girls, Emotional Rescue, Tattoo You and Undercover. The rollout is the second in a planned trilogy of reissues, with the final one set for July.

As for what to expect from the new versions, the band explained in a statement, "The sound now differs in that we changed a few things and took away some of the hard edges that were on some of the albums and improved the overall fidelity without losing the feel of the original masters."

All and all, 14 albums will be reissued over the next couple months, both digitally and in CD form. A special version of Exile On Main Street will come out separately later this year.
