Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse Collab Gets Indefinitely Delayed
Danger Mouse’s record label, EMI, has threatened legal action against the artist, forcing him to halt the sale of the Dark Night of the Soul project with Sparklehorse and such special guests as Iggy Pop and Frank Black. Originally intended as a 5,000-copy book with photos from David Lynch, the release will now house a blank disc with the message, “For Legal Reasons, enclosed CD-R contains no music. Use it as you will."The producer’s spokesperson added in a statement, “Danger Mouse remains hugely proud of Dark Night Of The Soul and hopes that people lucky enough to hear the music, by whatever means, are as excited by it as he is.”
