Jay-Z Finalizes Def Jam Split
As expected, Jay-Z has confirmed his final days at Def Jam, the label that released his biggest records and named him president at one point. Speaking to RapRadar.com, Jigga man said his stint at the company was a "unique and fulfilling experience." Not unique enough to keep him from signing a 360 deal with Live Nation, though—one that covers touring, publishing and record releases. It's unknown when Jay-Z will deliver his last contractual disc to Def Jam, if ever.—The ARTISTdirect Staff
