T.I. Begins Serving Prison Sentence
Forrest City’s federal prison complex welcomed new inmate T.I. today, setting up a roadblock leading to the Arkansas correctional facility and refusing to answer any press questions. Traci Billingsley, a federal prison spokeswoman from Washington, did issue this statement, though: “We treat all our offenders in the same manner.”Indeed. While he faced a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each of his three weapons charges, T.I.’s plea deal reduced his prison stay to 366 days and his fine to $100,000. Upon release, the rapper will be on probation for three years.
