Singer Brandy Norwood - AKA Brandy- has settled her suit with Marc Mysterio out of court, avoiding a publicized trial. The suit has been settled, with terms remaining confidential. Mysterio's lawyers said the suit was settled to their client's satisfaction.
The crux of the suit stemmed from Brandy's failure to deliver two 16-bar verses as her Timbaland-created rap alter-ego, Bran'Nu, on the lead single from Mysterio's forthcoming debut album, Shout It Out. She was paid $10,000 in advance of the delivery of the verses, but never turned them in and backed out.
More details: The suit claim she was paid the money on July 29th, 2010. Anorak.co.uk exclusively published the invoice sent from Ryan Ramsey to Mysterio requesting $10000 as "Brandy Side Artist fee" for "2 16 bar rap Bran Nu vocals."
She was to complete the song by August 6th, 2010. But, after receiving payment, when it came time to deliver the vocals, Brandy's manager and cousin Ryan Ramsey dropped a bombshell on Mysterio and his management, saying she was no longer able to participate.
All the drama is now in the past.
