    All Music Guide Review

Just like the album cover reads, this is "punk-folk." Acoustic Revolution consists entirely of artists who minimally recorded their contribution with just an acoustic guitar and a four-track; this isn't a compilation of hippied-out tales that overuse the phrase "legalize it." Rather, each track contains an intense passion of personally motivated angst through which the artists point out the political and social injustices of their surrounding environment. Coleman Lindberg attacks the media hype of junk-food journalism, belting out the lyrics, "I don't give a sh*t about Monica Lewenski/I'm just happy that she got laid." The Sissies take a stand on being proud of who you are even if others tell you that your sexual preference is wrong. Then there's the grim observation of the depleting environment through the eyes of Stop the Presses as they sing, "Come through the trees/The chainsaws whine and Caterpillars roar/Make way for the progress of the human race." Captivating, original, and inspiring. Viva la Acoustic Revolution! ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
