Though Kaleidoscope may not be as impressive as earlier material by the duo, it represents another step forward for progressive trance. From straight-ahead tracks like "Garden of Eden" and the single "Don't Call It Love" (with vocals by Plavka to more tongue in cheek material -- "So Called Techno Track" and the Miles-tribute "Mark Runs the Voodoo Down" -- Jam & Spoon keep on keeping on with determination and class. ~ Keith Farley, All Music Guide
