Tragedy would strike the Hesitations in 1968, when lead singer George "King" Scott was accidentally killed by a gun owned by group member Fred Deal. They went down as one of those bands that couldn't get over the hump, even though they were fine harmonizers and Scott had been an above average lead vocalist. This album exemplified their plight; it had the necessary components for success, but just didn't click. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
