This particular group, led by Mark "Snowboy" Cotgrove (who plays congas and contributes background vocals) is a top-notch British Latin jazz band. The music is at times funky and hints at fusion but basically falls into the Afro-Cuban tradition of Tito Puente and Ray Barretto. The three-horn, three-percussion octet has plenty of energy, and one can understand, listening to their debut CD, why they are popular on the British Latin dance scene. ~ Scott Yanow, All Music Guide
