    All Music Guide Review

K-Tel's Classic Country Crate contains a crateful -- 50, to be exact -- of the '50s, '60s and '70s' best country singles, including Gogi Grant's "The Wayward Wind," B.J. Thomas' "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," Johnny Paycheck's "Take This Job and Shove It," and Charlie Rich's "Behind Closed Doors." Though the disappointing preponderance of stereo re-recordings diminishes the set's credibility, its budget price may make it worthwhile for casual listeners. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
