    All Music Guide Review

Direct Source's Rock Revival: At the Hop is a ten-song slice of the rock & roll sound of the '50s and early '60s. The packaging and sound are not great, but the music is. Ranging from doo wop to rock & roll to girl group sounds, the disc is made up of wonderful party music like the Marcels' "Blue Moon," Mary Wells' "My Guy," the Hollywood Argyles' "Alley Oop" and the Champs' "Tequila" as well as romantic tunes like the Drifters' "There Goes My Baby" and Tommy Edwards' "It's All in the Game'. It plays like 30 minutes of a really good oldies station. The biggest problem with the disc is that it is way too short, leaving you wanting much more. ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
