    Direct Source's Rock Revival is a three-disc set that collects three of the titles in the label's Rock Revival series: Rock Revival: Rockin' Around the Clock, Rock Revival: Juke Box Jive and Rock Revival: Rock Solid. The discs are a mishmash of the rock & roll sound of the '50s and early '60s. The packaging and sound are not great, but the music is. Ranging from R&B to bubblegum to sunshine pop to doo wop and girl group sounds, the discs are made up of wonderful party music like Bill Haley & His Comets' "Rock Around the Clock," Jimmy Gilmer's "Sugar Shack," the Crystals' "He's a Rebel," Wilbert Harrison's "Kansas City" and Chubby Checker's "The Twist" as well as romantic tunes like the Turtles' "Happy Together," the Drifters' "Save the Last Dance for Me" and the Teddy Bears' "To Know Him Is to Love Him." ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
