All Music Guide Review
Rhino Records' Soul Train 1975 is a particularly strong entry in the series, capturing the point when Philly soul and funk were giving way to disco. It's highlighted by classic hits like the Ohio Players' "Fire," AWB's "Pick Up the Pieces," Minnie Riperton's "Lovin' You," and War's "Why Can't We Be Friends," but some of the lesser-known tracks are pretty good as well, making for a strong, entertaining sampler. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
