Howdy Moon

01/01/1974 | Universal Japan

All Music Guide Review

Containing the Valerie Carter-penned "Cook With Honey" (which was a minor hit for Judy Collins), Howdy Moon is a solid, if unremarkable, folk-rock album of the early '70s. Formed by friends Jon Lind, Richard Hovey, and Valerie Carter in Loginitas, CA, the group released one album before disbanding. Though it's a somewhat obscure album, most of Little Feat (along with John Sebastian and Van Dyke Parks) are featured players. Creative harmony arrangements and instrumental backing highlight such songs as "Cheyenne Autumn" and "Millstream." ~ Rob Caldwell, All Music Guide
