    All Music Guide Review

Despite its jarringly postmodern (and slightly frightening) cover drawing, Favorite Country Duets, Vol. 2 is a standard collection of contemporary country hits from the '90s, plus a couple of well-known '80s hits tossed in for good measure: Kenny Rogers and Kim Carnes' "Don't Fall in Love With a Dreamer" and "Those Memories of You" by Trio (aka Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt). Granted, that last song isn't really a duet, and neither is Chad Brock's collaboration with Hank Williams, Jr. and George Jones ("A Country Boy Can Survive"), but that's really just nitpicking. All of these artists come from the Warner Bros. roster, including country comedians Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall, who duet here with Alan Jackson and Travis Tritt, respectively. It's a decent budget-priced sampler for country fans who just want some hit collaborations on one disc. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
