Selby Tigers go back to the rookie days of punk rock when glitter and razor blades were a common stage prop. Not that these Minneapolis natives are repeating the past mistakes of the New York Dolls or the Dead Boys, but rather focusing on the striped-down rock & roll that made their influences famous. Adding the pop sensibilities of the Buzzcocks and the dual male/female vocals between Nathan (slightly robotic) and Arzu D2 (raspy enough to resemble Muffs vocalist Kim Schatuc), Charm City doesn't exactly pack a rock & roll wallop. At the same time, it's great to hear that along with fellow Minnesotans the Dillinger Four, Hopeless Records aren't continually putting out the same album of melodic-Ramones-influenced-pop-punk-ska. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
