    The soundtrack to the funny, envelope-pushing gay series Queer As Folk mixes club-oriented tracks with excerpts from Murray Gold's like-minded score. Gold's bouncy main theme, Respect & Hannah Jones' "I Am What I Am," and the Weather Girls' "It's Raining Men" are chief among the collection's highlights, along with the Kinky Boyz & Kia's verson of "Sexy Boy" (though using Air's original, superior version would've been even better). Pleasant but somewhat interchangeable dance hits such as the Urban Cookie Collective's "Key, the Secret" and Cinnamon's "Showin' Out" round out this mostly enjoyable collection, which is considerably more predictable than the show itself. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
