    All Music Guide Review

    The Jags made their debut with the classic "Back of My Hand," leaving high expectations for a full-length. Evening Standards featured a sharp set of similar sounding, bouncy pop songs in the vein of Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe. Though it can be faulted for being highly derivative and certainly more than a little repetitive, the set actually holds up better than most from the era. ~ Chris Woodstra, All Music Guide
