All Music Guide Review

These alien-spotting, electronic hippie purists return with a two-sided EP of conventional house music that sounds like Pac-Man wolfing down ecstasy pills. There are stopgaps in the 4/4 rhythm that create some sort of slow-motion breakbeat, but the real indication of interesting dance moves is the liberal use of both antiquated techno fixtures and contradictory organic effects. Each track feeds on the other with slightly different takes on this metaphysical outreach of wanting to get down. While they strive for that same mental/physical state as Goa trance, Eat Static is just odd enough to make it once again sound appealing. ~ Dean Carlson, All Music Guide
