Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers had several country hits in the late '70s and early '80s on Columbia records. Quite a few of those are collected on this two-fer reissue from Collectables. Greatest Hits contains original versions of "Broken Lady," "Night Time Magic," and "I Just Wish You Were Someone I Love," while Larry Gatlin's solo outing, Straight Ahead, contains "Taking Somebody With Me When I Fall," "All the Gold in California," and "Midnight Choir" (Mogan David).
