    Sony Music Special Products' Hits of 1993 is a ten-song collection of songs that is as schizophrenic as they come, with songs as diverse as Mary Chapin Carpenter's "Passionate Kisses," Sunscreem's techno epic "Love You More," and the hardcore dancehall of Mad Cobra's "Flex" bumping uneasily against each other. Throw in the pop-rap sound of Kris Kross, the alternative rock of Toad the Wet Sprocket, and the inescapable "Two Princes" by the Spin Doctors and you've got a disc that captures a decent portion of the year 1993. Still, since it lacks the biggest hits of the year and is so scattershot (not to mention too brief), the disc isn't of much value. ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
