Time-Life's AM Gold: Radio Hits 70's is three discs' worth of fun pop music. Most of the tunes here would be dismissed outright by rock snobs. Only Harry Nilsson's "Without You" might escape their scorn. Everyone else will be happy to wade through the frothy track list that boasts songs ranging from Stealers Wheel's "Stuck in the Middle," the 5th Dimension's "One Less Bell to Answer," and Climax's "Precious to Few" to the Sweet's "Little Willy," Captain & Tenille's "Love Will Keep Us Together," and Mungo Jerry's "In the Summertime." In other words, loads and loads of well-crafted, well-performed pop guaranteed to bring back warm memories of the lighter side of the '70s. ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
