20 Classic Songs of Love is one of the better love ballad collections on the market. Where many of these albums fail is that they include too much filler, making the few regular songs that make it seem special but pointless. But on this album, there is a shocking lack of filler that is made only better by the good inclusions that the listener is treated to. Among the many good songs included are the Beach Boys' amazing "God Only Knows," Kate Bush's sentimental "Man With a Child in His Eyes," Duran Duran's poppy "Is There Something I Should Know," and the Flamingos' classic "I Only Have Eyes for You." There are obviously some better songs than some of what has been included, and the decade hopping may throw some listeners off, but, overall, this is a decent album of love songs that has some track selection problems that may be difficult for some listeners to get past. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide
