Prospects for The Jets, a formerly hot Minneapolis family group, still seemed good when this late '80s session was released. They had had two R&B smashes the year before and were being compared in some places to New Edition in its formative stages. But urban contemporary and New Jack Swing R&B was getting much harder, and the group's light, coy sound would soon be hard pressed to keep pace.
