More preoccupied than wistful, this sequel to DJ Tiesto's heavily traveled compilation of foreign trance is an odd record -- it makes you want to lazily twirl around the room just as much as doze off to the land of Zs. A warm wake-up nudge for another E-fueled all-nighter or a badly executed come-down mix? Your pick. Either way, there should be enough relatively rare tracks to keep the eyes twitching. For now, the not-yet-thrust-upon-every-Gatecrasher-kid "Summerbreeze" by Kamaya Painters or a charming jaunt down the lane of the Chemical Brothers' "Out of Control" that is Breeder's "Tyrantanic" give this baggy-eyed, excessively protected package tickles behind the ear. At least now and again. If only it had ingested more caffeine. Because the weekend hasn't landed here, it's slowly stumbled out of bed. ~ Dean Carlson, All Music Guide
