    A value-priced collection of compilations featuring the music of the '50s through the '80s, Definitive Records' A Year in Your Life series presents a fun and eclectic mix of the sounds that defined the babyhood of the baby boomers through the adulthood of the "me generation." Ranging across a variety of pop and R&B-influenced styles, each CD in the series highlights the music of a single year. Historical tidbits and a musical trivia quiz are also included in the liner notes. The highlights on this volume include several fun dance-pop songs like Rick Astley's "Together Forever" and Boy Meets Girl's "Waiting for a Star to Fall." Samantha Fox's "Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)" is a guilty pleasure that on its own makes this compilation worth owning, but there are other strong songs including Hall & Oates' "Everything Your Heart Desires" and Will to Power's "Baby I Love Your Way/Freebird." ~ Stacia Proefrock, All Music Guide
