Few heavy metal bands have been making promo videos for as long as Judas Priest have. The legendary British quintet has been making videos since the '70s, and ten of their most popular (spanning the years 1980-1986) are included on the 1986 home video Fuel for Life. Unlike most other bands of the genre and era, Judas Priest were never afraid to not take themselves too seriously in these clips, which makes Fuel for Life an enjoyable compilation. Included are such early MTV favorites as their 1982 breakthrough "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" and the anthemic "Headin' Out to the Highway." You'll also find rarely seen clips for such longtime Priest faves as "Breakin' the Law," "Living After Midnight," "Love Bites," and the surprisingly melodic "Don't Go." The only questionable clips are a pair ("Locked In" and "Turbo Lover") from their musically unfocused 1986 release, Turbo, in which the group act out a Mad Max/Road Warrior-esque storyline. Fuel for Life will interest longtime Priest fans (as well as admirers of MTV's early days), but if you're looking for a documentary-style video, check out Metal Works. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
