With gangsta rap becoming the biggest business in hip-hop, Just-Ice tried to prove he could boast about guns and bitches like all the Cali' kids. He sure could -- tracks such as "Gun Talk" sound like he knows how to handle a lethal weapon -- but his problem is a similar one to that of his Philadelphia alter-ego Schoolly D: he lacks a producer with the necessary vision and skills to make him sound as relevant as the Snoop Doggs' of the West Coast. And after three years of silence you think he could of come up with a few more imaginative rhymes than the static taunts and threats he hands out here. For those that like their hip-hop nasty, brutish, and short, this may be of interest, but otherwise there's nothing here that adds to Just-Ice's Sleeping Bag product. ~ Garth Cartwright, All Music Guide
