    All Music Guide Review

With its luscious harmonies and cheerful hooky chorus, "Back Again," ahad all the makings to be a hit single. Unfortunately, it never happened. "Back Again" was produced by T-Bone Burnett and Don Dixon and was originally intended to be part of Tommy Keene's second album Songs From the Film, with its melancholy flip-side "Safe In the Light," a leftover from the Places That Are Gone sessions. More positive reviews in Rolling Stone, plus an enormous amount of college airplay, made this a good-selling indie release. Once again, fine vocal performances and gorgeous guitar work deliver two great tunes from the Keene catalog. Also included were two interesting live covers: Roxy Music's "All I Want Is You" and the Rolling Stones' "When the Whip Comes Down." ~ Jack Leaver, All Music Guide
