Jazz Music For: Swing and Sway, a compilation assembled by Medacy Entertainment, gets off to a great start with "Take the 'A' Train" by Duke Ellington and his Famous Orchestra. The procession of big names that follow include some of the icons of swing like Erskine Hawkins, Gil Evans, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, and Benny Carter. Evans' "King Porter Stomp" features some impressive solos and goes out with a great big flourish. "Begin the Beguine" performed by Artie Shaw and His Orchestra is a gentle and mellow counterpoint to Evans' song.
