    All Music Guide Review

    Like most Ministry of Sound compilations, Ibiza Annual Summer 2000 rounds up two discs of the moment's biggest dancefloor anthems and haphazardly assembles them into a loose mix. Listeners get all the U.K.'s big summer anthems from 2000 -- "Sing It Back," "Jumbo," a house rather than trance mix of "9pm (Till I Come)," and "Finished Symphony" -- with an emphasis on mostly house records given the summer motif with a few excursions into progressive here and there. A third disc featuring a 42-minute mix is also welcome. Overall, nothing too extraordinary here. Ministry of Sound churns these sort of compilations out every month or so, and this one doesn't exactly stand out. Above all, this album should serve as a nostalgic listen for anyone who spent summer 2000 clubbing in either the U.K. or Ibiza. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
