    All Music Guide Review

This compilation's somewhat odd title (Triple M's New Stuff) may inspire some curiosity, but once you get past this and the similarly contrived cover art, this is about as straightforward as compilations get. In sum, this is a WEA sampler that collects many of the major label's popular alt-rock hits from 1999-2001 along with a few obscure bands thrown in for marketing purposes. There are plenty of big hits: Creed's "Higher," Linkin Park's "One Step Closer," Matchbox 20's "If You're Gone," Blink 182's "Adam's Song," and Wheatus' "Teenage Dirtbag." But sequenced between these big songs are some less popular bands like Living End or out-of-style bands like Midnight Oil. Since there are nearly 20 songs here, Triple M's New Stuff should please anyone with a taste for popular alt-rock from the featured era, even if many of these songs are overly familiar. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
