As a completely instrumental album, this isn't the sort of thing you'd be expecting for the first release of a new Wu-Tang Clansman, but it sets the stage for what may be a devilishly good first album. The beats on this release have that simple complexity that Wu-Tang beats are known for, with a simple repetitive head-nodding beat, plus a complex melodic background behind the bass. Lyric lovers may find themselves a touch bored listening to an instrumental album, but the fact that it was created with those intentions has given the producers many advantages, allowing them to expand the melodies properly.
