More violent hard house from East Coast's DJ Venom, this time delivered with humor and proficiency. Venom's first Straight Bangin' effort suffered from the ironies of an aggressive and intoxicating branch of dance music sounding disoriented, exhausted, even pointless within its sterile segues and moronic beats, but its follow-up masks most of his past mistakes. With a hardcore feel reminiscent of early acid Prodigy, Venom takes listeners through big BPM discharges and teasing halts and restarts, which give him space to settle before metaphorically hammering the meat out of listeners' brains. Promisingly, DJ Venom's own tracks, like his scattered "Symbolic Intro" or the spaghetti western aberration of "Vatos Locos," are the strongest tracks. ~ Dean Carlson, All Music Guide
