Songwriter La La (La Forrest Cope) had a great run composing hits for everyone from Kashif to Whitney Houston, but her own debut album for Arista was utterly generic and bland. There was one halfway decent duet between La La and Bernard Wright, but it was otherwise competently sung, decently produced, lifeless fodder. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
